Banner commission for Gallery TEN, Cardiff
Fifth in the series of Gallery TEN’s banner commissions, 'Still Intertidal' connects to ongoing work exploring the ecology of the Welsh coastline, depicting a larger-than-life oyster shell colonised by barnacles. Oysters would have traditionally been an important source of nutrition and income along many parts of the Welsh coast, and could have an important role to play in the future as filter-feeders which can be successfully cultivated on our shores.
