Collage of a performative investigation at the Neolithic burial chamber of Tŷ Newydd, Anglesey

This tomb is badly damaged and has had to be supported by a stone column and concrete plinth, but early records and the results of excavation in 1935 suggests that it is a small, early passave grave, set in a typically prominent position and originally covered by a round cairn. The few finds from the excavation suggest that, though the tomb was probably built early in the Neolithic era, it continued long in use.
